Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of all online tools and related services (the "Service") provided by KoTools (the "Company" or "Operator"), and set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Operator and the user ("User"), as well as other necessary matters.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms are intended to establish the conditions and procedures for using all utility services provided on the KoTools website, including calculators, converters, and generators, as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Operator and the User, and dispute resolution procedures.

Article 2 (Effect and Changes to the Terms)

1. These Terms shall become effective upon posting on the Service screen or upon notice to the User by other means.

2. The Operator may revise these Terms without violating relevant laws and regulations. When revising, the Operator shall specify the effective date and reasons for revision and post them on the initial Service screen at least 7 days before the effective date, together with the current Terms. However, if the changes are unfavorable to the User, they shall be announced at least 30 days in advance.

3. If the User does not agree to the application of the revised Terms, the Operator may not apply the revised Terms to that User, and in such case, the User may terminate the use agreement.

Article 3 (Provision and Changes to the Service)

1. The Operator provides the following services.

• Various calculators (age, percentage, interest, tax, etc.)
• Unit converters (length, weight, volume, fuel economy, etc.)
• Text and development tools (markdown parser, encoder, formatter, etc.)
• Time and random number tools (clock, timer, random generator, etc.)
• Any other services developed or provided through partnership by the Operator

2. The Operator may change or discontinue the content, operation, or technical specifications of the Service as necessary. In such cases, the content and reasons for the change or discontinuation will be announced in advance. However, if advance notice is difficult due to urgent technical defects, system failure recovery, or unavoidable circumstances, notice may be given afterward.

3. This Service does not store or process the User's input data on physical servers; all calculations and conversions are performed in the User's browser (client-side) environment. However, minimal data transmission may occur for certain features (e.g., URL sharing, settings synchronization).

Article 4 (Use of the Service)

1. This Service may be used freely by anyone without a separate membership registration process.

2. The User must comply with these Terms, relevant laws, public order, and good morals, and must not engage in the following acts.

• Acts that interfere with the normal operation of the Service
• Acts that disseminate illegal content or infringe on the rights of others using the Service
• Acts of accessing the Service abnormally using automated programs, scripts, or crawlers, or causing excessive traffic
• Acts that exploit vulnerabilities or compromise the security of the Service
• Other illegal or unjust acts

Article 5 (Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights)

1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights for all content provided within the Service (text, images, logos, designs, source code, trademarks, etc.) belong to the Operator or the rightful rights holder.

2. The User may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, publish, broadcast, edit, resell, or allow a third party to use information obtained through the Service without the Operator's prior written consent.

3. Rights to results (calculation results, conversion results, generated text, etc.) entered or created by the User in the Service belong to the User. However, the Operator may anonymize and utilize such results for service improvement and statistical analysis.

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

1. The Operator does not guarantee that all calculation results, conversion results, and generated results provided by the Service are accurate and complete, and such results are provided for reference only. The User shall not use the Service results as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, or other important decisions.

2. The Operator is not responsible for the User's loss of expected profits from using the Service, nor for damages caused by materials obtained through the Service.

3. The Operator is exempt from liability when unable to provide the Service due to reasons not attributable to the Operator, such as natural disasters, war, terrorism, government regulations, service facility failures, telecommunications carrier service interruptions, or illegal acts by third parties.

4. The Operator is not responsible for Service use disruptions caused by the User's fault.

5. The Operator is not liable for the freely provided Service unless there is a special provision in relevant laws and regulations.

Article 7 (Advertising and Partnership)

1. The Operator may display advertisements provided by third parties in connection with the operation of the Service.

2. All transactions, communications, and personal information processing occurring on third-party websites connected through advertisement clicks are independent relationships between the third party and the User, and the Operator bears no responsibility for them.

Article 8 (Dispute Resolution)

1. These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.

2. In the event of a dispute between the Operator and the User related to the use of the Service, the courts of the Republic of Korea having jurisdiction over the location of the Operator's headquarters shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
